Benoît XVI à Turin pour l'ostension du Saint-Suaire
Le pape Benoît XVI a célébré dimanche matin la messe à Turin où il a vénéré dans l'après-midi le Saint Suaire.Sous un ciel gris, le chef de l'Eglise catholique a célébré une messe en plein air devant quelque 25.000 fidèles dans la capitale du Piémont.
Dans l'après-midi, le souverain pontife a visité la cathédrale où est exposé le Saint Suaire, se recueillant et priant silencieusement quelques minutes devant le linceul. Il a enveloppé la dépouille "d'un homme crucifié, en pleine adéquation avec ce que l'Evangile nous dit de Jésus", a noté Benoît XVI. Ce linceul reflète le plus profond "mystère de la foi", celui de la crucifixion et de la résurrection, selon le pape.
